Good question and food for thought! I think as far as my business is concerned, I am in reactive mode. But, I am in proactive mode when dealing with my clients and their business!

This is a great and useful distinction. I think I’m scared of planning because I’m fearful I’ll get in over my head, so instead I stay uncommitted to all of the ideas of what I’d like to do in my head…easier and safer, it’s true. Thank you for the insight.

Unfortunately, when you’re not the boss, you’re always in reactive mode. And it’s usually not fun. 🙂

are you referring to a client Mary? is there anything you can do to “nudge” them to proactive mode? (we talk about that alot in our OBM training)
