Great reminder Tina! As an OBM, I feel like my clients’ watchdog – what can I take off their plate so that they have the time and focus for the things that only they can do. It’s so easy to get caught up in doing things that aren’t on the Yes list out of habit or lack of planning.
Love the Yes List and the concept of what should be on your plate. I am going to share this with a group and have them write on a paper plate what they should be doing. This gives them a visual reminder of where their focus should be.
Hi Tina! Great opportunity for me to think out loud about my “YES” list. Here’s how I want to spend my day:
– Training and Coaching Brilliant and Visionary Women Leaders
– Creating content for workshops and conferences
– Creating marketing content for blog, video series and telecourses
– Keynote speaking
– Speaking at events
– Writing books and articles
– Designing publicity campaigns that put me on TV and radio
– Strategically planning for the success of the business
My team can do the executing and behind the scenes tasks that support all that. I’m taking Fridays off and summers are time off too! Thanks for giving us the space to think about our businesses so differently. You rock!
love that Monique – super clear. do you have a team right now to help with “the rest’?
I am currently in the process of building my team! It’s very liberating. I have one customer relations associate who just communicates with my clients and looking to bring on a marketing associate to handle my blog, ezine and social media tasks. Admittedly I’m still finding the balance that works for me cuz I’m a recovering control freak who was stuck…in that trap! 🙂
